Hold to catch, release to fly

Touch and hold to shoot your rope at the next ring and swing. Let go at the right moment to fly, then catch the next ring before you fall.

Meet Lumi

Lumi, a little crescent moon, shows new players how to swing on their first run. The lesson can be skipped, and replayed from Settings.

Bell rings

Silver-blue rings with a bell inside play the next note of the music each time you catch one in a row. Catch a whole stretch cleanly and something special may happen.

Keep going

If you fall, you can sometimes continue from where you fell, and checkpoints every 25 rings let you start a later run closer to where you got to.

Classic: climb to ring 100, then catch the tip of the crescent moon.
Endless: one night from dusk to sunrise at ring 400, and beyond.
Sprint: race today's course to ring 50 against the clock.
Calm: no falls, just swinging and music. Part of Moonrope+, with three free sessions to try.

Eight landscapes, one night

Travel through meadows, a lake, pine woods, a lighthouse coast, a village with lit windows, snowy mountains, a sea of clouds and the Kerala backwaters with a houseboat. Each has its own ground to land on, and the land blends gently from one place to the next. Look for fireflies, owls, shooting stars and rare sights like a comet, sky lanterns, a meteor shower and the sky whale. A few little secrets are hidden along the way.

Make it yours

Choose from nine ball colours, from Ember to the multicolour Aurora. Share a score card with a friend. Moonrope plays offline, and the game automatically reduces effects on slower phones.

Moonrope+

Moonrope is free with ads from Google AdMob. Moonrope+ is an optional purchase through Google Play that removes the ads and adds extras such as unlimited Calm sessions and free continues. Google Play can ask for approval before you buy.

Your data

Scores, checkpoints and settings stay on your phone. Anonymous game statistics go to Firebase Analytics, and you can turn them off in Settings → Privacy. Ads come from Google AdMob, and players in the EEA and UK are asked for consent first. Moonrope is not directed at children under 13. Full details are in the privacy policy.

Common questions

How do I get a new version? Google Play updates the game for you. When an update is ready, Moonrope also shows a "A new Moonrope is ready" pop-up on the menu; tap Update now to download it.

How do I replay Lumi's lesson? Settings → Lesson → Show Lumi's lesson again.

How do I turn off game statistics? Settings → Privacy.

The game feels slow on my phone. Moonrope automatically lowers visual effects after a few seconds of slow frames. Closing other apps also helps.

I bought Moonrope+. How do I get it on a new phone? Sign in to Google Play with the same Google account. If it doesn't appear, email me and I'll help.

How do I reset my scores? Clear the app's storage in your phone's settings, or uninstall and reinstall. Nothing is stored anywhere else.
